The success of the in+care Campaign depends on all of us joining together through the in+care Campaign, including you as a Partner in+care.
When we stay in care we improve our health and quality of life. We get all the benefits that research, medicine, and healthcare can offer. When we stay in care we feel better, we do more, we live longer, and we help ourselves, our families, and our communities. We stay in care by seeing our doctor on a regular basis, year-after-year-after-year.
Studies suggest that patients retained in care are more likely to have better health outcomes, including improved CD4 count, suppressed viral load, fewer hospital admissions/emergency room visits, and higher life expectancies (references can by found on the Resources page in the Additional Resources folder).
The in+care Campaign, much like the Ryan White Program itself, brings together people from all walks of life. We are all dedicated to improving health. That’s why the Campaign focuses on helping people living with HIV stay in care.
Just as your health is improved when you work as a partner with your doctor and HIV providers, our in+care Campaign will go further and achieve more when people living with HIV/AIDS join us as Partners in+care.
You commit to doing a little more during the coming year to get a better at self-care, supporting others, and improving care for everyone.
We will work together in the coming year to make changes so that you stay in care, get peers to come back into care, and partner with your HIV program to improve care. This will improve our health and create healthier communities.
You join a community of people living with HIV/AIDS and others committed to sharing resources and learning from each other. The Partners in+care Toolkit includes resources to promite retentioni in HIV care. Open the User Guide below for more information and ideas on how to use our resources!
